This lecture will offer an analysis of the current movement of coffee futures markets in light of the historical chart. By examining the uses of futures markets, as well as their strengths and weaknesses, audience members can learn how these tools can be useful. They will also understand the role of the futures market in political, economical, societal and environmental contexts.

Training Manager at Maison P. Jobin & Cie in Le Havre, France, a company of Neumann Kaffee Gruppe. He has a 20 years’ experience as green coffee trader. Former Board Director of Specialty Coffee Association (SCAE/SCA) from 2013 to 2019 and Vice-Chair of SCA Education Advisory Council from 2017 to 2019, Ludovic is still today member of the Creators group for the Green module of the Coffee Skills Program. As an Authorized SCA Trainer for Green and Sensory modules of the Coffee Skills Program, he is teaching worldwide to share his experience in green coffee. Ludovic is also running his third mandate for the French Chapter of SCA as Events Coordinator.
