I am a passionate, coffee-obsessed barista working at 200 Degrees in Nottingham. I am always learning more about every aspect of coffee, from farming to cup, and I am excited to get involved in more specialised training. I hope to one day have the skills, knowledge and experience I need to open my own coffee business.
I've been brewing coffee at home with my AeroPress for about five years, and more recently have been doing V60 brews at work and at home.
I have completed the Beginner and Intermediate Barista courses at 200 Degrees, and have learned so much from James Hoffmann's videos and his book, The World Atlas of Coffee. Lance Hedrick's new YouTube channel has been a source of inspiration, and I hope to start reading some of Scott Rao's books soon too.
I always make sure to attend coffee festivals including London, Manchester and Sheffield, and am excited for the first Nottingham Coffee Festival this year!
Barista/Supervisor responsible for making the full range of drinks including espresso and filter coffee. I rotate between the bar, the till, the floor and the kitchen and am able to comfortably handle the needs of the cafe. I work closely with my team to ensure the standard of the cafe is always kept high.
Barista trained to make the full range of drinks, serve customers on the till and set up and close down the shop.
I did two shifts at Costa in Derby hospital, helping out the staff during the second lockdown.
First job as a barista in a very busy, city centre cafe. I did everything from making coffee, to stocking shelves and cleaning the cafe. The job was tough but a great learning experience. Unfortunately had to seek other employment after the shop closed for the second lockdown.
