In the streets of London, I and my colleague served speciality standard coffees to passerby in both rain and shine. Here I learned to work in rough conditions, with minimal equipment, and often relying on my own ingenuity or my partners. I learned all the basics as well as having a good attitude for work.
I learnt of all the hustle and bustle that comes with the hospitality industry. Long hours, a full restaurant, serving customer in the best possible way despite when it was hard. My role changed regularly with serving food some days, others bringing people into the restaurant, other days being head of delivery and also occasionally serving the odd coffee.
