Session 1: Introduction to the platform, the course and the coursework
Lecture One: The Values-based ecosystem. We'll look at the critical role played by a company's Mission & Values in engaging and driving both staff and customers. We'll discuss ways to create your own Mission & Values. And we'll explore tangible ways to bring your Mission & Values to life within your own business.
Lecture Two: Operating Systems. This week, we get practical, poring over the multiple systems that are required to operate a cafe: labour scheduling, inventory management, daily task management, strategic planning, customer/brand experience and product development. We'll look at the process maps for each of these systems, which you'll be able to take away and adapt to your own business.
Lecture 3: People Systems. This week, we look at all the systems that are required to recruit, train and maintain your staff. Importantly, People Systems also provide many rich opportunities to bring our Values to life, which we'll consider over the course of the week. Like Week Two, we'll review templates of the process maps for each of these systems, which you'll be able to take away and adapt to your own business.
Lecture 4: The Dashboard. This week, we create a dashboard for your business, reviewing the various metrics you might like to follow to ensure your business is operating profitably and sustainably. And we look at ways to drive performance, including a project management template to help you launch and track key business initiatives.
